Since the adoption by the Haitian government in April 2014 of the school prototypes as new standards for school construction in Haiti, the country's public schools are beign progressibely brought up to adequate structrual and architectural standards. Today, all the main players in the school construction sector in Haiti, donors (IDB, WB), public agencies (FAES, UTE, FNE), as well as the private construction sector, are implementing these new standards using the guidelines and plans developed by the MENFP with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (see previous project).
From 2014 to 2020, I supported the IDB, MENFP, and implementing agencies in the process of integrating these standards in their projects from the planning until the implementation.
